THE RHYTHMASTERS
It’s time to SWING! The Rhythmasters will be playing Standards and popular favorites from the
40’s thru the 70’s, from Jazz to Gospel to New Orleans “laissez les bon temps rouler”!
And with their awesome vocalist – they can’t miss! Charlie Kilpatrick on keyboards; Ford Loving
on “stand-up” bass; vocalist Emma Cohen; Johnny Hott on drums/percussion/washboard and
Tommy Daughtrey on baritone sax & clarinet.

SAM RUCKER
Virginia native saxophonist SAM RUCKER has developed a sound that is powered by deep
spiritual purpose. He is leaving a unique fingerprint on the canvas of modern Jazz. Rucker has
four studio albums and multiple placements on the Billboard Top 30 Smooth Jazz radio chart.

CARLEHR SWANSON
Jazz Café welcomes Richmond’s native daughter and – Miss Virginia 2024 – CARLEHR SWANSON! Carlehr will bring Alicia Keys’ timeless music to life for Jazz Café – blending soulful vocals and piano artistry in a performance that celebrates passion, creativity, and connection through song. Noah Pierre on guitar; Stephen Arnold on bass; Kofi Shepsu on drums; and vocalists Triniti Cunningham, Frankie James and Olivia Stith round out her band. This performance is in conjunction with VMFA’s opening events for the exhibition, Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.

RODNEY STITH
We’re getting ready for the holiday season. Jazz Café is celebrating with “Soul Thanksgiving” featuring songwriter, producer and Soul Singer – RODNEY STITH! Stith has a powerful urban Southern sound that brings back the vibes of classic Rhythm and Blues. His persona is authentic; his delivery is straight from the heart. Stith’s music “is a bridge between the all-time greats and a new generation of soul singers”. R.E.S.P.E.C.T. !!!
