Jazz Café is always pleased to welcome back Dr. Taylor Barnett and the young Jazz musicians from VA Commonwealth University. VCU Jazz students are an integral part of the RVA music scene and play professional gigs, recording sessions and outdoor festivals.

RODNEY STITH

Soul Man is back – songwriter, producer and Soul Singer – RODNEY STITH! Stith has a powerful urban Southern sound that conjures up the vibes of classic Rhythm and Blues. His persona is authentic; his delivery is straight from the heart. Stith’s music has been described as “a bridge between the all-time greats and a new generation of soul singers”. Last year at Jazz Café his show nearly brought down the house – in a good way! We didn’t want him to stop!!!

Sophisticated, smooth Jazz grooves to set the perfect mood for Jazz Café. Inspired by legends like Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, and Luther Vandross, Benet and his band deliver a modern vibe that’s classy and everlasting.
