MISSION STATEMENT

Richmond Jazz Society’s Mission:

• • To educate the public regarding the historical development and significance of this unique cultural music called Jazz;

• • To preserve its rich history;

• • To be a valuable resource/referral and support center for Jazz in the Commonwealth of Virginia;  and,

• • To promote the advancement of Jazz as a true American art form via such activities as performances, lectures, exhibits, workshops, technical assistance, media projects and publications.”
